Hunters use Inflatable boats in a number of different ways but their requirements are  similar to the dive community. As with the divers it is as much about transporting equipment to a site as it is about boating and the ease of loading and unloading off a stable platform is high on the list of priorities. Many hunters plan to be away from the drop off point for a week or more and our Inflatables are called upon the perform like trucks on the outbound leg and fast transportation back to base camp for more supplies.

Zodiac makes a line of Futura Inflatables, which is very popular with experienced hunting parties They are beamy boats, have double hulls, which make easy tracking while on plane. We also recommend the Bombard line of Black fabric “Commando” Inflatables. They are made by Zodiac, have Aluminum floors and really perform.

We also supply a line of Rigid Hull boats with inflatable pontoons, which look similar to the all-inflatable designs. These R.I.B’s (Rigid Inflatable Boats) are quite amazing and bridge the gap between a completely inflatable boat and a more conventional boat made of all Fibreglass or all Aluminum. 

One feature our hunting friends love is the ability of their Zodiacs to navigate shallow water, which gives them uncanny access to lake heads, backwater creeks and in some cases (as in Alaska) across a sand bar and into magnificent still water lagoons with previously unreachable camp sites.
