Q: What effect to do claws and fish-hooks have on an inflatable boat?

A: Almost no effect at all. The material which Zodiac and Bombard use, has an extremely durable surface skin and normal contact with dog claws or fish hooks has no detrimental effect other than minor scratches.

Q: Must I always follow the manufacturers recommended engine HP size?

A: The manufacturers recommended maximum HP ratings, are given for good reasons and not only to avoid excess weight over the Transom. Using an over rated HP engine can lift your boat to the point where sufficient planning surface is lessened causing an unstable situation. Excess speed on any model can also cause loss of control

Q: Must I follow your recommended boat types for specific recreational pursuits listed on this website?

A: Absolutely not. Offshore has recommended that certain boat types are more popular with particular recreational activities but we recognize there is considerable cross over and if a certain model Zodiac or Bombard inflatable works better for you then we are all in favour of that

Q: How really portable are Zodiac/Bombard inflatable boats?

A: Well we think they are exceptionally portable. For example our cadet line of inflatables can actually be packed into their shipping valise and stored under your bed, providing you have sufficient clearance for a large type suitcase, which is about the same size.
A: When it comes to larger models such as the Futura Mk III for example, this folds down in to two valises and while it is not recommended for under bed storage, it can fit into an the trunk of a Honda Civic which we think is amazing for a six person dive-type boat.

Q: How easy is it for you to repair a Zodiac/Bombard inflatable boat?

A: This depends on the nature of the repair but we have yet to find any repair which we can not handle. Offshore has a large maintenance facility with excellent technicians who are equipped to advise you on the best way to go.

Q: What happens with warranty claims?

A: Offshore is an accredited warranty station for Zodiac/Bombard and can handle your claims at our Toronto based store

Q: Would you recommend a Zodiac/Bombard inflatable boat for us by teenagers?

A: Most definitely we would. We believe there is no comparable boat, which is safer to be on the water with. The carrying capacity of our inflatables is exceptional and when it comes to buoyancy a Zodiac/Bombard inflatable holds air in several compartments making it more buoyant than either Fibreglass or Aluminum boats with for example Styrofoam under the seats
